About

Tanuj is a member of the general corporate, private equity / venture funding, and investment funds practice group at Acuity Law. He regularly advises private equity funds, family offices and corporate clients for their cross border acquisitions, equity investments, and compliance requirements. Tanuj’s industry experience includes agri-tech, retail, recruitment, social media, and electronic vehicles.

  • Advised a Government managed financial institution for its venture debt funding of ~USD 26 million to various entities, across industries including artisan bakery; lifestyle; skincare; electric vehicles; logistics; finance; cloud communication; and space exploration (2024).
  • Advised NABVENTURES Fund I, in a funding round of ~USD 14.9 million, in Homeville Consulting Private Limited (owner of Bharat Housing Network) (2023).
  • Advised a Japanese investor in its minority investment in a company involved in a business of logistics (2023).
  • Advised NABVENTURES Fund I, in a funding round of ~USD 3.5 million, in Dr Jackfruit India Private Limited (operating under the brand name of ‘Beyond Snack’) (2023).
  • Advised Venktesh Investment and Trading Company Private Limited, in a funding round of ~USD 1.5 million, in an Indian assisted mobility startup company (2023).
  • Advised a family office in its follow-on investment, in a funding round of ~USD 8.7 million, in a public unlisted company in the retail business (2022).
  • Advised a Japanese company on proposed entry into the recruitment business in India (2022).
  • Advised a Government managed investment fund in its fund raise of ~USD 76.6 million (2022).
